About this policy
This policy describes how to request the removal of specific content distributed through CC Labs Srls services, in particular through the Deeper enhancement marketplace on cclabs-web and through any associated content-sharing channel operated by CC Labs Srls.
It addresses three distinct removal scenarios:
- You want to remove your own content. You are the user who submitted the content and you want it taken down.
- You want to remove someone else's content that affects you. Another user has submitted content that depicts you, references you, or otherwise affects your rights.
- You want to remove content that violates CC Labs Srls policies. You have identified content submitted by any user that you believe violates the Prohibited Content Policy or applicable law.
This policy applies to content removal in the specific sense of taking down items distributed through CC Labs Srls services. It is distinct from:
- Removal of your personal data: see the Privacy Policy and the GDPR data subject rights described therein.
- Removal of copyright-infringing content: see the Copyright Policy.
- General complaints about service or conduct: see the Complaints Policy.
Where a removal request implicates multiple policies, submit it to the broadest applicable channel and CC Labs Srls will route it internally.
Scope of content covered
The following categories of content distributed through CC Labs Srls services are subject to removal under this policy:
- Deeper enhancement submissions published on the cclabs-web marketplace.
- Community-shared personality prompts distributed through the CC Labs Srls community prompt service.
- Public profile information associated with a CC Labs Srls user account, where such information is shown to other users.
- User-submitted text appearing in any moderated community surface operated by CC Labs Srls.
CC Labs Srls does not host or distribute the underlying audio, video, or image files used in conjunction with CCP on users' own devices. Removal requests for content on third-party platforms (Hypnotube, BambiCloud, Discord, Patreon, or others) should be directed to those platforms.
Pre-publication moderation
All Deeper enhancement submissions distributed through cclabs-web are subject to manual review by CC Labs Srls before publication. The marketplace does not auto-publish user submissions. Pre-publication review applies the Prohibited Content Policy and the Terms of Service. Content that fails review is not published, and the submitter is notified.
This procedure means that user-facing removal requests on the Deeper marketplace operate as a backstop to pre-publication review, addressing content that passed initial review but was subsequently found to require removal.
Removing your own content
If you are the user who submitted content and you wish to remove it, send a request to support@cclabs.app.
Include:
- The submission type (Deeper enhancement, community prompt, profile field, etc.).
- The submission identifier or URL.
- Confirmation that you are the original submitter (the same account that submitted will normally suffice; for sensitive removals additional verification may be requested).
Processing time: removal within 5 business days of acknowledgement. For Deeper enhancement submissions that have not yet been approved through pre-publication review, removal is immediate.
You do not need to provide a reason for removing your own content. Removal of your own content is your right.
For removal or anonymization of an entire account, use the account deletion flow described in the Privacy Policy.
Removing someone else's content that affects you
If another user has submitted content that you believe affects your rights, send a removal request to support@cclabs.app. Include:
- A description of the content and where it appears (submission identifier, URL, screenshot).
- The basis for your request. Examples of valid bases:
- The content depicts you or uses your likeness without your consent.
- The content uses your name, image, voice, or other identifying information without authorization.
- The content discloses your private information (doxxing, harassment).
- The content is defamatory toward you.
- The content was created using AI to generate a depiction of you without your consent (non-consensual intimate imagery, deepfake).
- The content infringes your intellectual property rights (in which case the Copyright Policy procedure also applies; you may invoke either or both).
- Evidence supporting the basis (confirmation that you are the depicted person, prior communication with the submitter, public-record evidence of the relationship between you and the depicted subject).
- Your contact information.
For complaints regarding content depicting minors, content depicting non-consensual sexual activity, or non-consensual intimate imagery: CC Labs Srls applies an accelerated removal procedure. Such content is removed expeditiously on receipt of a credible report, pending investigation. Reports involving minors are forwarded to NCMEC (United States) and Stop-IT (Italy, INHOPE network member) as described in the Prohibited Content Policy.
Removing content that violates CC Labs Srls policies
If you have identified content submitted by another user that you believe violates the Prohibited Content Policy, you may report it through the same channel: support@cclabs.app. You do not need to be personally affected by the content to submit such a report.
CC Labs Srls reviews such reports against the Prohibited Content Policy. Content found to be in violation is removed, the submitting user may be subject to account action, and severe categories (CSAM patterns, credible threats) trigger the responses described in the Prohibited Content Policy.
Timing and process
Removal requests follow the timing committed in the Complaints Policy:
- Acknowledgement of receipt within 48 business hours.
- Decision on removal within 10 business days of acknowledgement.
- Accelerated removal for severe categories (minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats) on receipt of credible report, pending investigation.
Where a removal request is granted, CC Labs Srls:
- Removes the content from public access immediately on decision.
- Notifies the submitting user of the removal and the basis for it.
- Provides the requester with confirmation of the action taken.
Where a removal request is denied (the request does not establish a valid basis, the content does not violate any applicable policy or law, the requester does not have standing to request removal, or evidence of bad-faith reporting), CC Labs Srls provides a statement of reasons consistent with Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).
Counter-statement by submitters
A user whose submission has been removed under this policy may contest the removal by submitting a counter-statement to support@cclabs.app. The counter-statement should include:
- Identification of the removed content and its prior location.
- The basis for the contestation (mistake of fact, misidentification, failed claim of right by the requester, evidence of consent that was not previously available, etc.).
- Supporting evidence.
CC Labs Srls reviews counter-statements with the same SLA as removal requests (48 business hours acknowledgement, 10 business days decision). Where a counter-statement establishes that the original removal was incorrect, the content may be restored.
For copyright-specific counter-statements, the procedure in the Copyright Policy applies and supersedes this section for copyright matters.
Bad-faith removal requests
Removal requests submitted in bad faith, as part of a coordinated campaign, for competitive interference, or to harass another user may be disregarded and the submitter may be subject to account action. CC Labs Srls reserves the right to require additional verification of identity or standing where a removal request appears questionable.
Records of removal actions
CC Labs Srls retains records of removal requests and resulting actions for a period of 24 months from action, for the purposes of:
- Demonstrating compliance with applicable regulations, in particular DSA Article 17 statement-of-reasons obligations and Article 15 / Article 24 transparency reporting where applicable.
- Tracking patterns of submission that may warrant escalated enforcement of the Prohibited Content Policy.
- Defending against claims of incorrect enforcement.
Records contain the substance of the request, the investigative steps taken, and the action taken. Personal data within removal records is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
